Goan prawn curry


This Zimbabwean curry is delicious

Place the following in a slow cooker on low:

2 cups frozen shrimp
1 500 ml can drained chickpeas
1 medium onion chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp cumin
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp red chili’s
1 tbsp coriander
1/2 tsp salt
1 can coconut milk
1 tbsp flour

Bacon ranch chicken

6-8 large potatoes
1/2 cup ranch dressing
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsp pepper
2 cubed chicken breasts
1/2 cup real bacon
1 cup grated cheese

Cube potatoes and mix in a bowl with 1/4 cup ranch, salt and pepper.  Bake at 450 in a 9x13 pan for 30 minutes stirring the potatoes 15 min in.  

Coat the chicken breasts in the remaining ranch, garlic and onion powder. Place on top of the potatoes at the 30 min mark then bake 20 min at a reduced temperature of 400. Place grated cheese and bacon on top and bake for another 10 minutes then serve.  

Total bake time is 1 hour

Quiche


Mix 
10 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
& anything else you choose. 

Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.

Protein bites


Protein bites

1 cup heaping with peanut butter
2 cups oatmeal 
1 cup chocolate chips 
1/4cup honey
2 cups shredded coconut
1 tsp vanilla 

Mix everything together and chill in the fridge for 2 hours.  Then form into balls.  Store in the fridge.

Sour dough artisan loaf


In the evening mix the following for 10 minutes:
1/2 cup starter
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 tsp salt
4 cups flour

Place in a greased bowl and cover with Saran Wrap over night. 

In the morning remove and shape into a circle on a floured surface.  Place in a Dutch oven and refrigerate until ready to bake.  

Bake at 450 for 20 minutes with the lid on then bake for 30 minutes with the lid off. 




White chicken chili


2 tbsp onion powder or 1 diced onion
2 tbsp lime juice
2 cans (500 ml) white kidney beans
2 cloves of garlic or 2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp cumin
1 small can (4 oz) green chilis
3 cups chicken broth (I shook it up with 1/8 cup flour)
2 chicken breasts 

Put all the ingredients in a slow cooker.  I put the chicken in frozen and broke it apart right before serving.  

Keep in the slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours

Chocolate Glazed Donuts



Chocolate Glazed Donuts

Mix together:

1 1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar 
1/2 cup sour cream 
2 eggs
1/8 cup milk
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla

Once all the ingredients are mixed together spoon into the donut pan and bake at 400 for 10 minutes.  Make sure the donuts are cool before adding the glaze.  

Glaze recipe:

4-5 tbsp milk
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Once the donuts are cool dip them in the glaze.  This recipe yields 16-18 donuts.
