Duck Burgers


5 lbs ground duck
3 tsp five spice powder
1 tsp pepper
3 tsp sesame oil
6 cloves minced garlic
3 tbsp sesame seeds
5 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup hoisin sauce 
1/4 cup ketchup
3 tsp rice wine
3 tbsp honey


Mix everything together and freeze burgers on cookie sheets.  Cook from frozen.  Serve with hoisin sauce, Mayo and a fried egg in the bun.

Shrimp pad Thai


8 oz thick rice noodles
Cook according to package directions. I bring water to a boil and then boil them for 3-5 minutes. 

2 cups uncooked shrimp
2 tbsp peanut oil
1 large onion chopped 
2 minced garlic cloves
1 large egg
3 cups veggies (coleslaw mix, stir fry veggies etc)
4 sliced green onions
2/3 cup rice vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
6 tbsp soy sauce
4 tbsp fish sauce
4 tbsp chili sauce
4 tbsp chopped peanuts
Sprinkle with cilantro

Cool all other ingredients in a wok until cooked through.  Mix everything together and serve.
